Flyposter 15

Hey Lydia here, wanted to fill in some gaps from episode 15 of Flyposter… Gill was asked to DJ a gig at the Luminaire in Kilburn, so we thought we’d cover the 2 acts and film the show from there… Alas Gill’s dj booth proved too loud to film the links so we had to resort to toilets, stairwells and ticket booths!! not really the glamorous coverage we were hoping for, although it did furnish its own moments of hilarity…

When Gill signed up Cobra Dukes and DasPop to the network she became rather chummy with them, so we managed to get to the dressing rooms to find the bands in more than high spirits! which meant, again, we didn’t really have the opportunity to film links there, but I’ve included a couple of out takes for your enjoyment, sorry Kyle! Hehehe and Gill…

The bands were really awesome, I’ve uploaded Science Fiction from the CobraDukes for the moment… they’re really enigmatic on stage and in person, hilarious, really hope you guys get to see them in person… heres the link to their page www.myspace.com/cobradukes. Check out their upcoming gigs…

Luckily enough DasPop, who I hadn’t heard of before, turned out to be awesome too. They’re from Belgium and sooo full of energy… www.myspace.com/daspop Really, check them out! They even managed a bit of audience participation…without the arena cheese, well maybe a bit of kitsch cheese, but that’s good cheese as far as I’m concerned…still with me?

All in all, it was a great night, and I hope you enjoy the picks and videos this week, as always there’s the ongoing saga of tastes between us brits and the yanks, but hey, we like to keep it eclectic and give you a real taste of whats out there in new music…

Next week we’ll hopefully be bringing you the show from an exclusive gig at HMV, Oxford street… a couple of big names will be just a backdrop to your audio and visual tantalisation… lucky you, Lydia…x (Gill please put your blogging pen to paper, in the meantime i might just keep adding some images i have of you like below!!!!)
