The band came to prominence after Okereke sent a copy of a demo to Franz Ferdinand, who invited them to play at the Domino tenth anniversary bash in fall 2003. Their music now appreciated not only in UK, but receiving acclaim from Europe Japan and the States. They climbed the charts in 17 countries…
In America, they were the only new Brit guitar band who could sell out 8000-capacity venues…Their music boasts honest lyricism by Okereke set to rock, guitar rock, with a style indicative of the UK in the new millennium.

Their latest album ‘A Weekend in the City’ was released February 2007. A production collaboration with Jacknife Lee of U2 and SnowPatrol.
A Weekend In The City include themes drawn from the London bombings, immigration numbers, widespread drug abuse, being black in britain, our youth, their culture and sexual digressions.
