Giggling to the grave…

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has just checked into rehab in Pasadena we hear! He’s 60. Thought to have been clean for 20 years after the last bout of problems with drugs in the 70/80′s…

The press has revealed a bout of older men, behaving badly of late.

Silvio Berlosconi (Italy’s premier) was in trouble again, passing notes to pretty girls in class! The girls in question being parliamentary newcomers Nunzia De Girolamo 32 and Gabriella Giammanco 31, and the class actually being a parliamentary session!

Berlusconi 71, remarked…”Gabri, Nunzia, you look very pretty sitting there together. Thankyou for sticking around [to listen to the speech] but it is not necessary. If you have any gallants who have invited you to lunch, I authorise you to go [underlined three times]. Many kisses both of you!!! Your Prime Minister.” To which the ladies graciaously replied “Our dear Prime Minister, we can only accept gallant invitations from you!”…

Good on ya Mr Prime Minister! Wrinkly and fruity like a very ripe passion fruit… I don’t think its going to bother the guy too much – he’s got a few months left in office after victoriously winning his third and final term…

Mr Harrison Ford…he’s not in trouble for it, but at 64, he’s raised a few eyebrows with the new Indiana Jones movie, the Kingdom of the Crystall Skull. Never mind he can collect his bus pass next year, I have it on good authority we don’t mind our action heroes a little dusty…

In a world that has changed sooo much, its nice to see a social softening towards OAP’s. Why shouldn’t they be breaking new ground and picking up a few new or bad habits? who says you have to do it all when you’re young? And whose says there’s any stopping them!

Here’s to viagra, silver surfers, the grey pound, living longer and generally giggling to the grave…

Russell Brand

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Apparantly I’m a typical English woman because i find myself drawn and intrigued by this wierdo. He’s uniquely intelligent, eccentric, funny and a blatant slut, and now just so gloriously successful…I had to add this clip about him as an act of purging myself, i’d already spent at least 2 hours looking for clips of him on youtube after catching a press release about his latest film… I’m not alone am I?

Imagine Shannon’s Suffering…

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Now don’t get me wrong, I was as staggered as i’m sure you all have been by the Shannon Matthews ‘abduction’ story. As the grim details of the faked abduction and her appalling family’s plot to bleed public sympathy and coffers dry emerged I didn’t think I could feel any more sorry for Shannon and her torment. Until they pictured the photographs of her hideaway in the newspaper today. Not only was the room little more than a hovel, but for her entertainment she had only a keyboard, a glue gun and a BUSTED CD…….

Flyposter Episode 019

Flyposter 019

In this Episode of Flyposter Gill and I get our feet in the door of the Electric Ballroom, Camden, to have a ganders at IAMX… Happily we caught them at their sound check, fully booted and madeup. It was quite a performance for a soundcheck!

We did some flyposter blagging and mangaed to get Lead singer and ‘mini-tyrant’ of the band, Chris Corner, to gives us an insight into life as a londoner and artist in Berlin (and i quote…’open, relaxed, dirty, debauched….’) We can only imagine…

Also…Peter Moren tops the show with our exclusive acoustic rendition of Reel to Real, from his new album coming out this week The Last Tycoon…

Enjoy Flyfans, and make sure you stay in touch as Gill and I are going to be getting about at the Camden Crawl this weekend…
